BLUE JAYS 46, GENOA 45Published Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Blue Jays' game was a bit easier, although the score may not indicate it. They won over the Dragons 45-45. The Jays led 18-7 after one quarter and 24-12 at halftime. They led 32-24 going into the final period. Julius Gulley of Nevada burned the basket for 19 points to lead all scorers. Coy Mason of Genoa followed with 13 points. Others scoring for Nevada were Kevin Page and Marcus Harper scored 8 apiece, J.J. Lewis had 6 and Eric Haynie scored 4 points.
