LADY JAYS 25, GENOA 24

The Lady Blue Jays improved their conference record to 8-1 after taking a close battle, 25-24, at Genoa on Tuesday of last week.

Genoa had been in the top 10 in the state in Class AA. In an effort to stop the upset, the Lady Dragons slowed the temp down. Nevada played along, and came out with the small score, but a win.

Ramona Evans was the only player on either team to score in double figures. She scored 10 points.

Others Scoring for Nevada were Pam Young with 8 points, Alexis Madison with 4, Nekina Adair scored 2 and Jackie House finished with 1 point.

For Genoa it was J. Anderson with 8 points and B. Humphries and S. Humphries with 5 apiece to lead the Lady Dragons.

Nevada trailed 8-7 after one quarter, but had tied it at 12 by halftime. The Lady Jays led 21-19 going into the final period.
