GPS Instituted DEARS ProgramPublished Wednesday, February 3, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesGurdon Primary School has developed a new club called DEARS Club, which stands for Develop Enthusiastic and Responsible Students. GPS has developed this club in order to teach students the skill of responsibility. To be eligible for DEARS, a student must have no detentions, completed and returned all homework, use good manners during lunch, return all library books on time and have no tardies. The students in DEARS are selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance on the intercom and do jobs in the school in order to show responsibility. The students pictured are for the first semester. The students are listed below by grade.
