Julius Gulley, the point guard for the Blue Jays, attacked the basket vigorously against the Gurdon and came away with 27 points.

Jason Yarbrough of Nevada scored 16 points.

Others scoring for Nevada were Marcus Harper with 6 points, Geoffrey Box with 5, J.J. Lewis with 4 and Jemarroso Beasley scored 3.

Three players for Gurdon were in double figures. Rashun Hopson, Terry Cornish and Adrian Meeks scored 11 points each.

Gurdon led 13-11 after one quarter, but Nevada took control the second period and led 27-24 at halftime. The Blue Jays led by one point, 42-41, going into the final period.
