Grants AwardedPublished Wednesday, September 22, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneEntergy Corporation is awarding more than $53,000 in community partnership grants to 65 Arkansas schools and nonprofit organizations in 1999. The money will help pay for a wide variety of programs to benefit Arkansas communities, schools and youth. Among the grand recipients is Nevada County Recycling Work Center. "Partnering with organizations in the communities we serve is a long tradition for Entergy," customer service manager Paul Brewster said. "It is gratifying to see the results of our grant money at work in our hometowns and to know that we are providing much more than electricity to the communities we serve." Entergy's community partnership grants fund a broad range of worthy community improvements projects, all aimed at promoting volunteerism and community spirit throughout the Entergy Arkansas service area.
