Willie G. SpearsPublished Wednesday, February 3, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneWillie G. Spears, 96, of Prescott died Friday, January 29, 1999, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Spears was born February 17, 1902, in Hempstead County to William Edgar Loe and Pearl Baker. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Ernest E. Spears of Prescott; son and daughter-in-law, William Doyce and June Spears of West Columbia, Texas; a brother, Guy Loe of Prescott; two granddaughters and their husbands, Cara Ellen and Dr. Jorge Barer of Houston, Texas, and Sonia Lynn and Mark Rich of Angleton, Texas; four great grandchildren, Brook Barer, David Barer, Bobby White and Rae-Ellen Tipton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Sunday, January 31, at Sweet Home Church near Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Rev. J.W. McAdams officiating.
