Mary and Pershing Cox visited and had lunch with their daughter and her husband, Ann and Dale Wylie, in Hope on Sunday.

Maxine Cummings is recovering from major surgery in an Arkadelphia hospital. Maxine is the widow of the late Brooks Cummings.

Friends of Hambrie Cummings will be sorry to hear he is seriously ill at his home.

Harvey and Ruth Barham from Dallas are spending several days at their home here.

Darlene Henderson is in Pittsburg, Penn., to attend her mother's funeral.

Friends of Marie McNeely will be sorry to hear she is in a Little Rock hospital.

Twenty-six youth and adults from Shady Grove Baptist Church attended the drama 'Heavens Gates and Hells Flames,' in Hope at First Baptist Church on Monday night. This was a presentation of the last few minutes of peoples' lives and the first few minutes of death.

The pastor of the Assembly of God Church, and his wife, Jerry and LeAnne Smith, are the proud parents of a baby girl.

Glendene Haynie is a proud great grandma again. A baby girl was born to Jake and Carol Tyree on Sunday morning.

The Boughton writer, Evelyn Hooks, may write her news this week, but we're happy to report she and her husband, Willie, are home from the hospital.

Our son-in-law, Betty's husband, Tim Wilson, is seriously ill in St. Michael's Hospital.
