It's such a beautiful day that it would be wonderful if it could just stay this way. I was not able to attend church today as I had foot surgery Saturday at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana.

Our son, Dwight, of Texarkana and son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Booie, of Prescott and great granddaughter, Kathryne Rocole of Magnolia, were our guests after I got home.

We celebrated Kathryne's fifth birthday Friday night at Jimmy and Booie's house as Tori had to work on Friday. Jimmy charcoaled burgers for Pappie Bill and Nannie Freeman, Aunt Vickie and Uncle Ricky Marlar, Jim and Tonda Pennington of Willisivlle, Tamara Marlar and friend Tom Fults, Ginger and Tyler McKinnon and Raegan Williams of Texarkana and Roscoe and me. We also had birthday cake and ice cream and then Kathryne opened her many, many gifts. Kathryne's birthday was February 7 as also is Cassie Cottingham's birthday. Happy birthday to both of these girls.

Jim Dixon was taken to St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana on Saturday night wtih pneumonia. Pray that he will soon be better.

A.B. Luck went to his doctor in Little Rock two days last week, but he is feeling better and was able to be in church Sunday.

Roscoe and I were supper guests on Tuesday night of my brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Minnie Ella Schmitt of Hope. On Wednesday night we had as guests, Bill and Pat Lusby of Camden. We had supper at the Crossroad Buffet.

Sue Dixon and Henry and Dorothy Dixon had supper at Crossroad Wednesday night.

On Thursday afternoon Ruth Vinson and Roscoe and I shopped in Camden. Ruth treated Roscoe and me to a fish supper at Woods.

Lyn Dean Morman and Ted and Amy, her grandchildren, had lunch after church Sunday at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Hope. They came back by Prescott to visit with Pete Morman and Veneta Bustin at Hillcrest Care and Rehab Center. They visited with me on their way home. Bro. Petie also visited with us a while before church. After church Jeff, Tara, Elizabeth and Josh visited with us.

Winnie Bailey will be having cataract surgery in Texarkana on Tuesday. Lyn Dean Morman will have cataract surgery in Arkadelphia on Thursday. Please remember these two in your prayers.
