Oak GroveLula Q. KendrickPublished Wednesday, February 10, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune The community united meeting will be held at the Oak Grove Civic League Building the 25th of February. The new top is almost on the gym. We are asking all the alumni to please come out and help plan. One person cannot speak for you. We have a Civic League meeting the first Tuesday in the month. Let's keep Oak Grove Civic League on the map. Our first quarter was held Sunday, February 7. We had a wonderful quarterly conference. Our presiding elder really preached. His text was 'The Tragedy of a Self Righteous Person.' Election of officers for 1999 was held. Mrs. Daisy Gulley was elected delegate for annual conference in October. Annual conference will be held in Hot Springs. Ira J. Tidwell well be 89 years old February 14. He is the oldest man around Rosston.
