Our son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Marjorie Hooks, of Mayesville, S.C., spent the weekend with us. Other visitors during the week were Shorty Garner, Herbie Ridgell, William and Linda Formby, Joy Cox, Julene Hulan and Bennie Walthall. We appreciate our friends so much.

Harold and Thelma White of Van Buren visited Everett and Mary Orren Friday night.

Darlene and Brenna Young of Hope spent Sunday with Cathryn and Pete Jester. Jimmy Joe Breanna broke her foot.

Chloe Orren came home first of the week from Medical Park Hospital of Hope. Her son and daughter-in-law, Lenord and Faye House, and Shorty Garner has visited her since she came home.

Doug and Carol Johnson of North Little Rock spent the weekend with his mother, Mildred Johnson. Herald Haynie and his family of Fort Smith visited with them during the weekend.

J.D. Lucus is still in St. Michael Rehab Center in Texarkana. His wife, Mary Ann is staying with him.

Everett and Mary Orren visited with Edgar and Thomas White at the home of Thomas White Sunday night.

Harold and Thelma White visited with Chloe Orren Sunday afternoon. They also visited Raymond White in a Texarkana nursing home. Raymond was raised in the Redland community.

Herbie Ridgell, Kay Wren and Robin Ridgell visited Doris Ridgell and Baletta and Terry Crabtree of Fort Worth, Texas, over the weekend. They also got to visit a while with Sue Austin and heard from Katie Pittman. She is doing very well.

The thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any good to oneself.
