Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, February 10, 1999 in the Gurdon Times The Gurdon Senior Adult Center's new activity director is Martha Bearden. She is no stranger to the center, because she has worked for Central Arkansas Development Center at the center before. We are happy for you, Martha, and know you will do a good job. Bingo was played on Monday, February 8. The Music Makers will entertain at Twin Rivers Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, February 9. Several of the senior adults will attend Senior Day at the state Capitol on Wednesday, February 10. We have an on going contest for Valentine's King and Queen. The contestants are Sybil Harris and Lloyd Brumgardner, Junior Thrasher and Beatrice Stafford and Birdie Overton and Joe Welch. The ones with the most votes will be king and queen. This is a fund-raiser for the center. Tuesday, February 16, will be dine out night and the week of February 22-26 will be nutrition week with Dr. Barbara Holt.
