RosstonMarguerite WilliamsPublished Wednesday, September 22, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune We are really being blessed with pretty weather. Wouldn't it be nice if we could live where it is like this all the time. Church was well attended Sunday with Bro. Petie bringing a good sermon. Among visitors were Kelly Hardin and her two beautiful children, Royce Dixon, Nadine Wortman, of Houston and a friend of Chasity Reeves. Those having September birthdays are Johnny Jensen and Angie Hudman. We extend our sympathy to the Jane Weems family of Little Rock, (formerly of Waterloo). The funeral was at Mt. Olive church on Friday with burial there. We enjoyed the Farm Bureau supper in Prescott on Monday night. Ellis and Winnie Bailey attended also. On our way to the supper we visited Bill and Maxine Freeman. Bill got out of the hospital on Saturday and was able to go back to work on Monday. On our way home that night we visited with Jimmy and Booie Williams and watched part of the football game. Labor Day weekend Lyn Dean Morman traveled to Dallas with Abb and Melva Morman and Tim and Paulette Morman to visit Shelby Morman. While there Lyn Dean visited on the phone with Justene Chamberlain. Justene is doing fine and they all report a good trip. We regret that Ruth Vinson fell out the door of their camper on Thursday and broke her arm. They took her to the hospital on Friday morning to get it set and she came home Friday afternoon. She has had quiet a bit of pain, so remember her in your prayers. Dot Broussard and I visited her on Friday afternoon and I visited with her again Sunday night. Her granddaughter's children from Haynesville, La., visited her on Sunday afternoon. I made a trip to Hope on Tuesday to see my doctor. I was having problems getting blood pressure and pulse rate stabilized. This is the first problem I have ever had, so please remember me in your prayers as I return to the doctor on Tuesday. Bro. Jerry Evans and Marjorie carried Dail Evans to his doctor in Texarkana on Friday and got a boot on his leg. Hopefully it will heal now. Sue Dixon went to see her doctor in Hot Springs Friday. She still isn't feeling well. Remember her in prayer. The Elliotts of Willisville were guests in church tonight. They stayed after church to have hot dogs and ice cream with our youth and to play volleyball. Our guests on Friday night were my brother and wife of Hope and their two grandchildren, Carrie and Kayla Schmit,t of Emmet. On Saturday Bill and Pat Lusby of Camden had supper with us and this afternoon son Dwight of Texarkana visited with us. On Thursday night Valeria O'Keefe, Dot Brousard and I attended a Pampered Chef party at the beautiful lake house of Frank and Linda Bailey on Rosston Lake. Rosston would like to thank all the policeman and deputies who helped with the grass fire in Rosston recently and also for finding the ones who burglarized the three stores around here and also some homes. Sometimes they don't get credit when credit is due. Many thanks to all of you as well as Rosston citizens who helped out. What would we do without neighbors? Margaret Jackson went to see a great grandson baptized on Sunday. A.B. and Maxine Luck attended a luncheon in Little Rock honoring the induction of their grandson, James Hunt. They have been on lake De Gray this week camping. Claudie White remains in rehab at St. Michael in Texarkana. He still needs our prayers.
