Carrol 'Bobby' SampsonPublished Wednesday, February 17, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneCarrol Franklin 'Bobby' Sampson, 75, of Emmet died Wednesday, February 10, 1999, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Sampson was born February 22, 1923. He was the son of Pearson G. Sampson and Oma G. Barker. He was an assembler at Bell Helicopter. Mr. Sampson had served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of UAW Local 218 and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Fuller Sampson, in 1979 and his second wife, Lynne Sampson, in 1995. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Audra and Doug Dougan of Prescott and Barbara and Joe Ellenburg of Emmet; two brothers, G.A. Sampson of North Little Rock and James A. Sampson of Prescott; one sister, Betty G. Manning of Prescott; and four grandchild. Funeral services were held Friday, February 12, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Hicks and Ricky Burke officiating. Burial was in Mt.
