Elizabeth Jean GannPublished Wednesday, February 17, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneElizabeth Jean (Betty) Gann, 80, of Little Rock, formerly of Laneburg, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999. Mrs. Gann was born August 21, 1918, in Paragould to Elmo and Carrie Brewster Huffman. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gann was of the Baptist faith and was devoted to her family and friends. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, John Ward Gann of Little Rock; one son, John C. Gann of Shawnee, Kans., three daughters, Caroline S. Guinn of Overland Park, Kans., Mary L. and George Wallace of Decatur, Ala., and Charlotte J. and Dennis Noernberg of Little Rock; three sisters, Laverne Harpole of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Jane Bouycourt of Belleville, Ill., and Martha Ward of Orlanda, Fla.; eight grandchildren, James W. and Kathy Harrity, Elizabeth and Doug Wilson, Debra and Scott Shaffer, Mark and Jennifer Noernberg, Michael Noernberg, Matt Noernberg, Courtney Gann and Ashley and Brett Edwards.; three great grandchildren, Duncan Harrity, Morgan Shaffer and Cameron Shaffer; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday, February 6, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating.
