Dr. A. Milton SmithPublished Wednesday, February 24, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneDr. A. Milton Smith, 95, died Tuesday, February 9, 1999, at St. Joseph Health Center. Dr. Smith was born November 23, 1903, in Caney. He pastored in the Nazarene Church for 30 years, including 13 years at Kansas City's First Church of the Nazarene. He later served 17 years as a district superintendent. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal, in 1972; his second wife, Grace Lee, in 1996 as well as a son and daughter. Survivors include three daughters, JoAnne Wynn, Norma Dell Smith and Donna Ruth Peoples; four grandchildren, Jann Wynn, Jean Wynn Sullivan, Michael D. Wynn and Ray C. Heck Jr.; four great grandchildren, Michael Downs, Jordan Wynn, and Raven and Rayce Heck; two nieces, Margaret Barham of Cale, Mary Ann Stewart of Prescott; and one nephew, Jim Smith of Texarkana.
