It's been another busy week in Rosston, as usual.

Roscoe and I and Margaret Jackson attended Shirley West's funeral at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia on Wednesday afternoon. She was buried in the Willisville Cemetery. Shirley was such a sweet person and I know she will be missed by many. We extend sympathy to Max and the rest of her family.

Roscoe and I had steak supper with Jimmy and Booie Williams on Tuesday night and while we were there Betty's Floral Shop in Prescott burned. Fore's Department Store, Duncan Culpepper's law office Teague Eye Clinic and the former Holly's location received smoke damage.

On Wednesday night Bill and Pat Lusby of Camden were our supper guests.

The youth leaders of our church did a super job with the Valentine banquet Saturday night, Feb. 13. The dining room was simply beautiful. They spent lots of hours on this and the food was delicious. We have a great youth department with lots of good cooks. Bro. Jerry Evans and wife Dot of Taylor brought slides they made in the holy land and showed them to us. We appreciated this so much.

We are saddened by the death of Darrel and Esther Caldwell. Esther passed away on Friday night in a hospital in Dallas. Darrel passed away on Sunday afternoon at their home here in Rosston. Funeral is supposed to be at Rosston Church on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery. They will be missed by Rosston people as they both were such good friends to everyone. I had done Esther's hair for many years.

Lyn Dean Morman, Amy Morman, Laura Ward, LeVergne White and I attended the beautiful bridal shower for Keri Gibson and Alan Russo at Willisville Community Center this afternoon. They received many lovely gifts.

Helen Herring has been in a Magnolia hospital, but she will be taken to Little Rock. Remember her in prayer.

Bluff Springs Church is hosting a house warming for Connie Beard and children on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. at the church. They recently lost their home and everything in it by fire. Your presence will be appreciated greatly.

Irena Hawkins, sister of Lyn Dean Morman, had surgery in Medical Park Hospital on Friday morning. She came home Saturday. Roscoe, Bro. Petie Ward and I went to sit with Lyn Dean during her surgery. Lyn Dean's husband and brother and daughter-in-law were there, too. Irena is doing good, but she still needs our prayer.

Joey and Ellen Wallace were saddened by the death of Ellen's cousin's husband, John Charles, in Shangriloo, La., on Friday night. A gravel truck hit his car just one mile from his home. Funeral was Monday. Please remember them in your prayers.

Dorothy and Henry Dixon were not able to be in church today. They both have colds.

Ruth Vinson was gone during the weekend due to the death of her husband's relative.

Perna Mason is very ill and needs our prayers.

Clifford and Jane Cox of Hope, Bill and Pat Lusby and Dale and Donna Lusby of Camden were our guests on Friday night and we all ate supper at the Cross Road Buffet and afterward visited at our home.
