Happy birthday to Hettie (Lucas) Prilet of Fort Myers, Fla. She is having a birthday the 28th and will be in her nineties and still reads he Nevada County Picayune. Hettie lived a big part of her life in our community. She has two grandsons and some great grandchildren and great great grandchildren living in the Redland community at this time.

Annie Mae Hooks has returned home after spending three weeks with her daughter, Diane Blankenship, and her husband, Billy, of Ashdown.

Some of Mary Ann and J. D. Lucas' visitors last week were Sam and Bennie Walthall. J.D. and Midred Kelly, Maudina White, Jonita Osburn, Lois McGill, Theresa Gifford and her daughter, Denise, Margie Lucas, Frank Wilson and Rev. Flemings.

Tommy and Helen Elmore of Laneburg spent a couple nights last week with his mother, Elsie Elmore. Tommy, Helen and Elsie had supper Wednesday night with Cathryne Pete and Jimmy Joe Jester. Thursday night Cathryne, Pete and Jimmy Joe and Helen and Tommy had supper with Elsie.

Launer and Arleen West of Hope and Ronnie Brown visited Ray and Syble Brown during the week.

Willie and I had some company last week. Bro. Danny Miller, Bennie Walthall, Harley Hillery, Herbie Ridgell, Launer and Arleen West. Roy Gant Cagle brought some delicious soup. Donald Kirkham brought a delicious roast. Willie and Julene Hulan brought delicious turnips green and baked sweet potatoes. William and Linda Formby and Linda brought a delicious chicken casserole and Neil Meeks brought some banana pie. We appreciate the good food, but we really appreciate the company too, as well as the phone calls and cards.

The Messengers of Hope and the Cross Road Singers will be singing at Boughton Church Saturday night Feb. 27th starting at 6:30.

Lenord and Faye House and Everett Orren visited Chloe Orren during the week.
