BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, February 24, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune We are having beautiful weather, but I am sorry to report a lot of sickness. Ruby Vines has pneumonia. She is improving. Morine Butler has had a bout with a head cold. Marguerite Dorman is improved and was in church after missing a few Sundays. J.P. Martin, formerly of this area, passed away recently. Services were in Shreveport on Saturday. Several from this area attended. Dickie Carlton has had the flu bug. Marilyn is suffering from bursitis. Russ seems to be improving. Hazel Dorman spent a few days with her daughter, Joyce, and her family. David and Peggy Butler of Blevins, Dexter, Earlene and Todd Butler and I met Phyllis Brardie and Wesley Butler in Arkadelphia for lunch and a visit. Wesley is really growing. Lynn and Charlotte Almand from Lake Charles, La., area visited his dad, Warren Almand. He is in a Magnolia hospital. They also visited Aunt Maudie Miller. Remember all of our sick when you pray. Harrell and Nell Butler visited Deck and Earlene Butler Thursday night for a chili supper and a game of Mexican dominoes. They seem to have a lot of fun. Mary Coffee and Clovis Almand of Hope visited with Maudie Miller recently. Mable Walden of Hope and Glenn Martin of Cabot visited Maudie Miller and others in Hope.
