RECAP OF TOURNAMENTPublished Wednesday, February 24, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneMonday- Emmet junior girls beat Bright Star 34-28; Bradley junior boys took out Bright Star 61-18; Spring Hill junior girls stopped Saratoga 39-35; and Emmet junior boys lost to Spring Hill 49-47. Tuesday- Emmet junior girls are eliminated by Bradley 55-26 in the first game; Saratoga junior boys took out Spring Hill 37-20; the Emmet senior girls were stopped by Spring Hill 68-27; and Bright Star beat the Emmet senior boys 61-54 in the last game. Thursday- The Bradley senior girls defeated Spring Hill 81-42 in the first game; Bradley senior boys handled Bright Star 83-44; Bright Star senior girls edged Saratoga 43-41; and Saratoga outlasted the Spring Hill senior boys 78-62 to close the night. Friday, Junior Finals- The Bradley junior girls won the tourney Friday night by defeating Spring Hill 36-25. In the final game the Saratoga junior boys edged Bradley 49-48 in a hot contest. Saturday, Finals- In the first game Saturday night in the finals, Bradley's senior girls took home the big trophy by defeating Bright Star 45-32. In the last game, the Bradley senior boys also took home the big trophy by beating Saratoga 62-52. Saturday, Consolation- In the games Saturday afternoon to determine which lost in the senior semi-finals would be in the regional this week as number 3 and 4 seeds. In the senior girls game, Saratoga came out third by defeating Spring Hill 52-40. In the senior boys game, Spring Hill grabbed third by beating Bright Star 73-47.
