This month of February is fast drawing to a close. We have been involved in many activities this month at Gurdon Senior Citizens center.

We sang for the residents of Twin Rivers Rehabilitation Health on Tuesday, February 9. Lawrence Bearden's name was left off the list of those attending. Sorry, Lawrence.

We attended Senior Day at the Capitol and had our Valentine's king and queen contest. We played bingo on Monday, show and tell on Tuesday, which was also dine out night, had singing on Wednesday, memory day on Thursday and popcorn walk on Friday. All of these happened last week.

We had visitors from the Glenwood Center on Friday, February 19, also.

This week of February 22-26 is Nutrition Education Week with Dr. Barbara Holt.

The members of the center who have February birthdays and will celebrate this week are Esther Thrasher, Ellis Fritwell, Mildred Ferguson, S.T. Manson, Arthur Cooper, Fae Tucker, Walter Sligh, Emma Herron, Gertrude Cooper, Bernice Freeman, James Trout, Gloria Bennett, Ruby Long, Ruby Warren, Eva Perry and me.

Activity director Martha Bearden is doing a good job in planning activities for us.

Some of the senior adults have been unable to attend because of illness. We wish them a speedy recovery.

The center is a United Way Agency.
