Dovish Is Chamber Speaker

Chuck Dovish, Arkansas television personality, will be the featured speaker at the Gurdon Chamber of Commerce annual banquet next week.

The banquet will be March 2 at the Gurdon High School cafeteria beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased at First State Bank of Gurdon, Mercantile Bank of Gurdon or the Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dovish is known for his featured stories called Travelin' Arkansas, which airs on KTHV, Channel 11. Dovish has been traveling Arkansas for over 20 years.

Another highlight of the banquet will be the presentation of the Citizen of the Year, Teacher of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year. These awards are presented annually to citizens who make tremendous contributions to the community.
