Ray BillingsleyPublished Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Ray Donald Billingsley, 75, of Gurdon, formerly of Prescott, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Twin City Rehab in Arkadelphia. He was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Prescott, to Hugh A. and Ethel Lee Sandifer Billingsley. He was a retired bus driver for 18 plus years with Continental Trailways and former owner/operator of Rays Repair Muffler Shop for 20 plus years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry and Glen Billingsley. His survivors include three sons, Rocky Ray Billingsley and Michelle of Denton, Texas, Ricky Don Billingsley and Ella of Prescott and Ralph Billingsley of Little Rock; two daughters, Teresa Mae Bird and Randy of Gurdon and Susan Wade and Dwayne of Arkadelphia; one brother, Burl Billingsley of Tatom, Texas; one sister, Jessie Mae Milam Armstrong and Lee of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren, Sharee Evans, Nicole Billingsley, Hugh Hugh Billingsley, Kevin Bird, Tina Inskeep, Brandon Wade and Lauren Wade; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The grave side service was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott, with Rev. Billy Joe Christopher officiating. The burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Saturday, Oct. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
