Juanita MaytonPublished Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Juanita Mayton, 82, of Hope, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at her home. She was born on Feb. 18, 1926 in Hope to Willie and Florence Ferguson Cannon. She was a homemaker and a member of Patmos Baptist Church of Patmos. Her survivors include, her husband of 61 yrs., C. Dudley Mayton of Hope; one son, Cliff Mayton and Georgianna, Spring, Texas; one daughter, Donna Chance and LeRoy of Houston, Texas; one brother, Rev. Glen Cannon of Hope; four grandchildren, Cliff Mayton, Jr. and Kristina, Bob Mayton and Lindsey, Joy Mayton and Paul Chance and Lee Ann; three great-grandchildren, Trey Mayton, Klaudia Chance and Collin Chance; one niece, Gail Cannon Eiden of Hope. The grave side service was at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, with Rev. Jerry T. Crane officiating. Burial followed.
