Eva Milam

Mrs. Eva M. Cummings Milam, 91, of Prescott, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab of Prescott.

She was born on March 6, 1917, in Nevada County, to James Edward and Modina Bennett Cummings. She was a homemaker, a former cook at Prescott School and former nurses aide at Hillcrest. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.E. Milam; two sons, Robert Lynn Milam and James W. Milam; one brother, Clifton Cummings and three sisters, Hazel, Floy and Martina Cummings.

Her survivors include one daughter, Annette Johnson and Ferrell of Cale; two daughters-in-law, Anna Lou Milam of Prescott and Vicki Evans of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Revs. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Jimmy Teeter officiating. The burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott. The arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family received friends Monday, Sept. 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott
