Lera HartPublished Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Lera Hart, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Sept. 12, 2008. She was born to Charlie and Lemma Dillard on Feb. 19, 1921, in Rosston. Soon after graduating from high school, she married Herman Felts Hart, her husband of 62 years, who preceded her in death in April, 2001. Lera and Felts lived in Arkansas most of their married life until 1957. They moved to Texas where Felts worked for Texas Eastern and Lera made custom drapes for 40 years. Following Felts retirement in 1978, they moved to Baytown where she continued to make drapes for several years. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and a member of the Joy Class for many years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the US with friends and family. Her hobbies included working in her flower beds, crafts, sewing, and crocheting. Lera loved doing anything with her family and enjoyed hearing stories about all of them. She was a much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sister-in-law, Hollis and Edith Dillard, Collis and Odeal Dillard, H. D. Selena (May) Dillard, and a sister, Lois Dillard. Mrs. Hart is survived by her three daughters, Jo Ann Ingrum and her husband Stanley, Betty Troutman and her husband Jerrell and Sandra Tilton and her husband Chris; grandchildren, Kent and Kay Ingrum, Kyle and Anna Ingrum, Kelly and Martha Ingrum, Tiffany and Todd Franke, Angie and Daryl Daniel, Michelle Tilton, Christie and Curt Hahn, and Paige and Bryan Kejonen; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hilary, Zack, Isaac, John, Katherine Hart, Lila, and Joy Ingrum, Toby and Tymon Franke, Cyah, Halley, Ashby and Camrin Daniel, Whitney Smith, Christopher and Cade Dillard, Cole, Cahrie, and Carson Hahn, and Kylee and Kynlee Kejonen and many nieces and nephews. The family received friends Wednesday, Sept. 17, between 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. The graveside service was held Thursday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m., in Rosston Cemetery in Rosston. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a church or charity of your choice.
