Piper Killough WestPublished Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Piper Michelle Killough West, 41, of Hope, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, in Hot Springs as a result of a motorcycle accident. She was born on Jan. 16, 1967 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Jerry Bonell and Peggy William Killough. She was a self-employed business woman and coowner/ operator of Wests Wrecker and Towing Service in Hope; also, she was a former employee of Diamond State Bank of Hope. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Bonell Killough. Her survivors include her husband of 8 > years, Jim West of Hope; one son, Austin Vanderveer of Hope; one daughter, Shelby Vanderveer of Hope; her mother, Peggy Northcott and Bob of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Scott Killough and Emilyn of Edmond, Okla. and Darin Killough and Gina of Stillwater, Okla.; one special sister, Sonya Odom and Randy of Hope; her maternal grandmother, Erma Gilliam of Tulsa, Okla.; and her childrens father, Lynn Vanderveer of Prescott. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, with Mr. Lynn Vanderveer officiating. The arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope. The family received friends Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
