Wolves play hard, Bobcats are next

Special to the Picayune - By Terry Simmons

On Friday, Sept. 12, the number

1 3A and 4A schools met in

Nashville. The night was one that

many of us will not soon forget.

During the first four minutes

of play the Scrappers had hung 14

unanswered points on the board.

Then all of a sudden when many

people were already down, the

Scrappers got scrapped by

Demarcus Collier running for a 7-

yard touchdown with 5:50 left on

the clock during the first quarter.

The defense made an impressive

stand and got the Wolves the ball

back. The offence took the ball

right back down the field in an

impressive battle and Termaine

Henderson dropped back and hit

his brother Jermaine Henderson

for a 15 yard touchdown, but

Prescott was not done with the

second quarter and with 5:23 left

on the clock T. Henderson connected

with Kalin Hall for a 14

yeard touchdown. There was

something electrifying about the

side lines all the way to half time

the under dogs Prescott Wolves

were scrapping with the

Nashville Scrappers. However,

the second half did not go our

way with only one score in the

second half Prescott was defeated

by Nashville 27-49.

The offensive numbers for the

game were 11 first downs 258

rushing yards with only 68 passing

yard. If there is one thing that

we have learned is that, our

Wolves are getting better, no matter

who the competition is, they

will compete.

Dont count them out until the

final whistle blows. The defense

came to play and they played

well, just a few plays went their

way. The offensive attack will be

there.

This week the (1-1) Curley

Wolves will take on the (0-2)

Bobcats of Hope. The game will

be at Cummins Stadium at 7 p.m.
