Loyce Conrad Coon

Loyce Conrad Coon, 72, of North Little Rock, went to be with his Lord and

Saviour, Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, after battling ALS, better known as Lou Gehrigs

disease.

He was born April 28, 1936, in Chidester. He was the warehouse manager for

Arkmo Lumber, Mechanics Lumber and National Home Center and never left

the same office for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Conway

Coon; mother, Effie Brown Coon and brother, Jackie Joel Coon.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Coon of North Little Rock, and

children, James E. Coon and wife Ginger, Lois Ann Hyatt and husband James,

granddaughter, Jennifer Coon all of Conway; four brothers, three sisters, nieces,

nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Highway Baptist Church, 5845

Roundtop Rd. North Little Rock. Graveside service was held at Easley

Cemetery, Gurdon.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be given in Conrad's name to

Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
