Susie DouganPublished Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMiss Susie May Dougan, 70, of Hope, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born Oct. 27, 1937 in Nevada County, to Oscar and Beatrice Otwell Dougan. She was a retired waitress. Her survivors include one son, Eddie Dougan and Kim of Gig Harbor, Wash.; one granddaughter, Gena Dougan of Gig Harbor, Wash.; seven brothers, Penny Dougan and Joy of McCaskill, Archie Dougan and Marilyn of Traskwood, Richard Dougan and Carolyn of El Dorado, Johnnie J.D. Dougan and Pam and Tim Dougan and Jan, all of Prescott, Ronnie Dougan and Susan of Palm Bay, Fla. and Donnie Dougan of Perkins, Okla.; one sister, Anita Foster and Paul of Sutton; one sister-in-law, Peggy Dougan of Prescott; one aunt, Edith Garner and Charles of Camden; a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. The memorial service will be announced at a later date. The arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope. Memorials may be made to the local animal shelter in her honor, Hempstead County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 702, Hope, AR 71857, because she loved animals.
