Mrs. Helen Carlotta Zumwalt

Thieme, 90, of Melbourne, Fla.,

formerly of Blevins, passed

away on her birthday, Friday,

Aug. 29, 2008, at her daughters

home.

She was born in Blevins, on

Aug. 29, 1918, to Carl Zumwalt

and Hilda Anastasia Botsford

Zumwalt. She was a retired college

professor and former realtor

and life member of the million

dollar sales club in Virginia.

She was a member of First

Baptist Church of Hope; an education

counselor for the blind

children of Vermont and a

chemist at the armory.

She was preceded in death by

her husband, Reinhold Bud

Thieme and E. Glen Johnson;

by two sons, Reinhold William

Bill Thieme and Frederick

Harry Thieme and one brother,

William Red Zumwalt.

Her survivors include one

daughter, Beverly McGinnis

and James Richardson

McGinnis of Melbourne, Fla.;

one daughter-in-law, Kathie

Woll and Alan of Blevins; two

brothers, Coy Zumwalt Blevins

of Ark and Henry Zumwalt,

Blevins of Ark.; three sisters,

Leola Willard of Walla Walla,

Wash., Louise Byers of

Texarkana, Ark. And Glendene

Venable of Rolla, Mo.; two

grandchildren, Alexander

William McGinnis and Kelsey

Frances McGinnis, both of

Melbourne, Fla.; and several

nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was at 2

p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, at

Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home

Chapel of Hope, with Rev. Earl

Cumbie officiating. Burial was

in Macedonia Cemetery in

Blevins. Arrangements were by

Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home

of Hope.

The family received friends

Monday, Sept. 1, from 6-8 p.m.

at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral
