Classy Moments

CMS has really been hit with the 'virus bug' and we are ready to get it out of our way! Due to the number of absentees and days missed, when the students are feeling better and return to class, the teachers are willing to give extra time for missed work to be completed. Our desire is for students, faculty and staff to get well soon.

Mrs. Smithson was tour guide for a former middle school teacher, Mrs. Stricklin. Mrs. Smithson enjoyed 'showing off' our beautiful building and Mrs. Stricklin really enjoyed the tour.

The Accelerated Reading Classes at CMS will be giving away three Beanie Babies. Thomerson Drug Store donated the Beanies, of which we thank you very much. For more information, see Mrs. Smithson, Mrs. Davies or Mrs. Clark. The drawing will take place at the Student Council assembly in March.

Work is still being done on the CMS yearbook. Jake Plyler, Tracy Coplen, Bonnie Ferguson and Lacey Jester have worked extra hard and long hours putting the contents together. For $15 you may purchase the yearbook. Just call 353-4311 and further instructions will be given or mail your check to Cabe Middle School, 7780 Highway 67 S, Gurdon AR 71743. We believe you will enjoy the memories for the first year at CMS.

The spelling bee results did not have winners from CMS, but we are very proud of our students who took part in the competition. A big thank you to Mrs. Downey for working with the students and encouraging them to do their best.

Mrs. Downey is ready to make the big move to her new room. We just have to keep telling her that the room is not completed, but soon it will be and then she can move. Hopefully, it will be ready soon or we may all pitch in and help get it ready!

Mrs. Whitlock has realized that she has crossed over and it was a shock to her! Just try to imagine, Mrs. Whitlock, how much more knowledgeable you are now that you have completed that part of your travel in life. From those of us who have made that journey, we extend a big welcome to you!

Congratulations to Brandon and Kody Bradshaw as they have a baby sister. Patten Bradshaw arrived February 11 and is doing fine.

Hopefully our readers are well and not have to deal with that old bug that seems to be going around. We thank you for you support as we continue to make those Classy Moments at CMS.
