Elsie GreenPublished Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneElsie Laverne Green, 69, of Bluff City, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. She was a member of the Bluff City Church of Christ, a city council member and active in Bluff City Helping Hands. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Bob and Winnie Helsel Johnson; husband, James D. Buster Green; brothers, Authur Lee Johnson and Gerald Johnson; sister, Lois Johnson; and granddaughter, Sarah Maykaylee Green. She is survived by her son, David Green and wife, Stephanie of Bluff City; daughters, Gail Burke and husband Jack of Houston, Texas and Becky Davis and husband Teryl of Chidester; sister, Lillie Mae ODell of Hope; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Bluff City Church of Christ, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home.
