Margie AtkinsonPublished Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Margie Atkinson, 62, of Rosston, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Margie was born on Dec. 8, 1945, in Nevada County, and was the tenth child of Bill and Esthner Hicks Green. She was a retired beautician and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sam Green; and two sisters, Mary Dee Green and Vera Cross. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Sharon Atkinson and Karen Bennet and Harold, all of Hope; two grandsons, Brandon Bennett of Hope and Blake Bennett of Little Rock; her ex-husband, Bob Atkinson of Chidester; three sisters, Patsy Richardson and Norma Jarvis, both of Camden, and Vivian Ammons of Prescott; three brothers, Ervin Green of Visalia, Calif., Earl Green of Camden and Joel W. Green of Doddridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott, with Rev. Dennis Green and Rev. Will Green officiating. Burial was in Caney Cemetery in Nevada County. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Tuesday, Aug. 5, beginning at 1 p.m., prior to the service, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
