William (Bill) Thomas Sr.

William (Bill) E. Thomas Sr., died May 25, 2008, at a veterans hospital in Richmond, Va.

Bill was born July 26, 1937 in Hope, to the late Charles and Emma Thomas, both of Hope. Bill was a US Naval Veteran. He served in both the US Navy Medical Corps as well as the US Army Hospital Corps. He was also a graduate from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Catherine M. Thomas of Franklin, Maine; one daughter, Renee Robinson of Cabot; one son, William (Billy) Thomas of Conway; one stepson, Brian Mathis of Richmond, Va; and three grandchildren, Shayna Robinson, Kaylee Thomas and Ian Mathis. No memorial services have been scheduled at this time.
