Anna Marie Hamilton-Fontana-Schmelzer, 60, of Prescott, died July 11, 2008.

She was born May 28, 1948, in Madison, Wis., to David J. (deceased) and Mary M. Schmelzer. She centered her life around family, friends, and her Bible. She was a kind, devoted, and giving wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She had a special way of showing her love.

She was married to Benjamin Grant Hamilton (deceased) and out of that union four children were born, LaDonna R. Hamilton-Stueart, LaShelle R. Hamilton, LaToya R. Hamilton and Benjamin D. Hamilton who preceded her in death. On Dec. 27, 1997 she was joined in holy matrimony to John F. Fontana (deceased) of Prescott.

She attended Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church at Hope. She was educated in Madison, Wis. And later furthered her education and received a degree as a licensed practical nurse from University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, in 2003. As a strong, caring, and positive individual she was never short of a perfect ideal and willingly gave her time wherever needed. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, painting and looking for bargains while shopping. Even in death she generously gave to others by being a tissue donor.

Her survivors include her mother, Mary Schmelzer (David, deceased) of Madison, Wis.; her daughters, LaDonna Hamilton-Stueart of Prescott; LaShelle Hamilton of Bartlett, Tenn.; LaToya Hamilton of Hot Springs; one daughter-in-law, Denese Hamilton (Benjamin D., deceased) of Loganville, Ga.; three brothers, John Schmelzer and Maggie and Gary Schmelzer and Connie of Oregon, Wis. And Michael Schmelzer of Universal City, Texas; one sister-in-law, Freddie Hamilton of Prescott; grandchildren, Joseph Stueart Jr., Luther Stueart, Alex Hamilton, Daloris Stueart, Rontarious Hamilton and NaShea Goetzendanner, LaKeisha Hamilton, Jaleesa Hamilton; one great-grandson, Darius Stueart; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
