George Lovette Jr.

Mr. George H. Lovette Jr, 54, of Blevins, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, from his home.

We wanted him to stay with us, but now he is sitting at the feet of Jesus, in pain no more. He was born in North Little Rock, Oct. 28, 1953, to George Henry Sr. and Erma McElyea Lovette. He was employed by Arkansas Best Freight in Texarkana. He loved spending time with his family and helping others. He was a loving husband, father, and Poppa. His life blessed many people, and he will be lovingly remembered as a man who loved and served others.

His survivors include his wife and best friend of almost 37 years, Nancy Bonds Lovette of Blevins; one son, Wesley Lovette and April of Blevins; two daughters, Kristy Lovette of Blevins and Dana McCrary and Dillon, Texarkana, Texas; his mother, Erma Lovette of Blevins; two sisters, Frances Lovette of Blevins and Juanita Banister and David of Blevins; one brother, Tommy Lovette and Carol of Crawley, Texas; four grandchildren, Nathan and Audrey Lovette of Blevins and Cannon and Dalton McCrary of Texarkana, Texas; his in-law's, Helen and Dale Bonds of Blevins; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Jamie Steed and Bobby of Blevins, Delaine Neece of Argile, Texas and Jimmy Bonds and Pam, Texarkana, Texas and a host of other family and friends to cherish the friendship of George. He will be greatly missed!

The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Friday, July 18, at Marlbrook Baptist Church in Blevins with Revs. James McCain, Tommy Lovette and Lee Little Sr. officiating. The burial was in Marlbrook Cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

Visitation was Thursday, July 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope. The online guest book is at www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com
