Doris BarberPublished Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Doris Laverne Barber, 83, of Bodcaw, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, in Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab of Hope. She was born on April 5, 1925, in Fairfield, Texas, to Ernest and Robbie Minchew. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bud Minchew. Her survivors include one son, Steven Dearing of Rosston; one sister, Nell Stubbfield of Crockett, Texas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials service was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, at Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw, with Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Arrangements were by BRazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
