A Prescott man has been

arrested on charges of rape, kidnapping,

teorroristic threatening

and domestic battery.

Charles S. Flemons, 36, 628

E. Second St., was released on

bond after a court appearance

Monday in Nevada County.

According to court records on

file with the Nevada County

Circuit Clerk, a woman who was

seen at Medical Park Hospital in

Hope reported the rape on Feb.

21, prompting an investigation

by Prescott Police Detective

David Thomason.

Earlier that evening, Flemons

and the victim had apparently

become engaged in an argument.

Flemons reportedly began hitting

the victim and told her several

times that he was going to

kill her, according to court

records. The victim reportedly

told police that she had called

for help from another individual

in the house at the time. Flemons

reportedly then dragged the victim

into the bathroom where the

altercation escalated. According

to the report, the victim passed

out during the fight but Flemons

reportedly remained in the house

after that point.

The other person involved in

the altercation was not listed as

being injured, according to the

report.

Both rape and kidnapping

carry a possible penaty of 10 to

40 years or life, meaning

Flemons, if convicted, could be

sentenced to as much as two life

terms
