Elvira Fain

Elvira Mary Fain, 82, of Stamps, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 24, 1926 in the Midway Community near Lewisville. Mrs. Fain was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fain and by her parents, Lon Cox Sr. and Mattie Cox.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Susan Fain of Prescott; one brother, Lon Cox Jr. of Dallas; two sisters, Frances Shipp and husband Clyde and Doretta Forsythe and husband Edwin, all of Texarkana, Texas; three grandchildren, Darren Fain, David Fain and Eddie Fain and wife Thresa.

The graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Shiloh Cemetery north of Stamps with Rev. John Force officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, at the funeral home.
