Aline Claus

Mrs. Aline E. Grisham Claus, 90, of Bodcaw, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab of Prescott.

She was born on July 28, 1917, in Bluff City, to Orland F. and Ollie Turner McKelvey. She was a retired secretary. She was a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw, where she taught adult Sunday school for 50 plus years and a member of Eastern Star. She was the founder of the Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Coffee that we enjoy every Wednesday morning at the chamber.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eriless Grisham and Charlie Claus.

Her survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Earline Butler and Dexter of Bodcaw; three grandchildren, David Butler and Peggy of Blevins, Phyllis Butler and Mike Vines of Cabot, and Todd Butler and Annette of Bodcaw; three great-grandchildren, Chris and Erica Butler, Chad Butler and Cody Butler; and one great-great-grandchild, Wesley Butler.

The funeral service was at 12 p.m., Thursday, July 3, at Bodcaw #1 Baptist church in Bodcaw, with Revs. Neal Ridling and David Hampton officiating. The burial was in Bodcaw #1 Cemetery in Bodcaw. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
