Six Players From Gurdon Make All-Region TeamsPublished Wednesday, March 3, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesGurdon placed six players on two regional tournament teams last week. Four Go-Devils were named to the boys' All-Region Team. They were Rashun Hopson, Terry Cornish, Demond Beasley and Adrian Meeks. Two senior girls were named. They were Lavonda Young and Tiffany Ware. Antario Glover of Stephens was named the most valuable player (MVP) in the boys' bracket. Anna Porter of Caddo Hills was named MVP in the girls' division. Other girls named to the All-Region Team were Nicole Beck of Caddo Hills, Jada Montgomery of Centerpoint, Marci Story of Dierks, Shanna Humphries of Genoa Centeral, Samantha Hankins and Karla Hernandez of Horatio, Ramona Evans of Nevada and Desheka Porchia of Stephens. Other boys named to the All-Region Team were Brandon Glover and Reggie Todd of Stephens, Chris Rice of Centerpoint, Coy Mason of Genoa Central, Jonathan Coulter of Mineral Springs, John White of Mount Ida and Julius Gulley ofNevada.
