Wedding set for July 19Published Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesChris Sideroff of El Dorado and Mark and Sandy Carpenter of Junction City announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina 'Lauren" Sideroff, to Robert Edward Monteith, son of Robert and Cathy Monteith, of El Dorado. The wedding will be at 6 p.m. on July 19 at First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. A reception will follow at the John Newton House. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Laura Walker of Terre Haute, Indiana and Andrea McDonald of El Dorado and Jean Sideroff, also of El Dorado, and Cidy and Sheila Sideroff of Lady Lake, Florida. She is a 2004 graduate of Parkers Chapel High School in El Dorado and a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway with bachelor's degree in biology. She will begin medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences this fall. The prospective groom is the grandson of Patsy White Brooks of Gurdon and the late Frank White and Barbara Monteith of Norphlet and the late Monty Monteith. He is the great grandson of Stella McClure of Gurdon. He is a 2002 graduate of Parkers Chapel High School and holds a bachelor's degree in health sciences from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
