Lillian Boulden

Lillian Jean Gates Boulden, 79, of Gurdon passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center at Hot Springs. She was born on April 20, 1929, in Gurdon to Herbert Wesley and Ruby Lola Cockrell Gates and was with Clark County Bank of Gurdon over 35 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 65 years. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Joe H. Boulden; two sons: James H. "Jimmy" Boulden and Nancye, all of Gurdon, and their two children: Wesley Read "Wes" Boulden and Leah, David Wayne Boulden and Carole of Texarkana and their two children: Amanda Grace Boulden and Joe Andrew "Drew" Boulden; her twin sister: Jo Davies and J.K. of Gurdon and their one son, Don Davies and Debbie, and their two daughters, Heather Bruce and Tommy and Krissi Jo Davies; one brother: Herbert Delton Gates and his children, two daughters: Gayle Beeson and Travis, all of Sherwood; their two daughters Anna and Megan, and Carol Neal and Mike of Magnolia and their two daughters Samantha and Suzannah.

Pallbearers are: Clarence Haltom, Buddy Allen, Dickey Halliday, Roy Quinney, Albert Thomas, Tommy Rickett, Bob McGill and D. W. Bryan.

Honorary pallbearers are Canasta Club: Emogene Allen, Jo DeWoody, JoAnn Thomas, Mary Ann Newton, Mary Ella Halliday, Francis McGill, Betty Smart, Betty Horne, Louise Davies, Joy White and Lori Bryan.

Funeral services were on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rusty Jones and Rev. Gregg Burks officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hedge Cemetery at Gurdon. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
