Dolly Steed

Mrs. Dolly Lovana Steed, 80, of Prescott, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at her home.

She was born on May 8, 1928, in Pine Bluff, to Thomas Moody and Fannie Florence Turner Dawson. She was retired from the family grocery store, Liberty Valu-Mart, which she and her husband had owned and operated in Prescott for over 25 years. She was a member of Prescott First Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Roy Steed; one brother and six sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Nan May and Charles of Murfreesboro; one son, Roy Steed and Carol of Dumfries, Va.; four grandchildren, Laura Cope and Jonathan of Okla., Jesse May and Beth of Tenn., Amy Cullen and Adam of Va., and Robert Steed of Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Elise May and Emma May of Tenn.

The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at Prescott First Church of the Nazarene, with Revs. Charles May and Art Menard officiating. The grave side service was at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family received friends Friday, June 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prescott First Church of the Nazarene, American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
