Mauree OdomPublished Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMauree Odom, 97, of Hope, died May 20, 2008, in Prescott. She was born July 21, 1910 in Texas to John and Eva Landers Shirley. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; John and Eva Shirley; husbands, Jesse Parks Sr., Freeman Cagle and Dwight Odom. She is survived by one son, Jesse Parks of Forth Worth, Texas; three daughters, Hazel Barger of Irving, Texas; Shirley Hooks of Searcy and Nelda Conway of Gurdon; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was May 21, at Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott between the hours of 6-8 p.m. The funeral service was May 22, at 1 p.m. in the Pharr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Honeycutt officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
