New chamber director talks 'Chicken....and Egg'By Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Nevada County Picayune This years Chicken and Egg Festival will include a Bunco tournament. That word came from Prescott-Nevada County Chamber Director Brandy Jones. Jones said the Bunco tournament is being headed by Carrie Niven, chamber president, and contestants will have the chance to win prizes at every round. There is a $15 registration fee. Bunco is a traditional parlor game played with dice. Anyone who wants to play should register at the chamber office before the festival. The festival will include most of the traditional favorites as well, including the Turbo Chick Races, Little Mr. Rooster and Little Ms. Hen contests, cackling and crowing contests, a hula hoop contest, remote control car races and food vendors. There will also be several sporting events, including basketball, softball and tennis tournaments.
