Mary PoindexterPublished Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Mary Alice Poindexter, 61, of Bodcaw, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. She was born on November 2, 1946, in Camden, to Leon and Lois Caswell Henley. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church of Bodcaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sister, Patricia Shumaker and Jonette Coffman. Her survivors include her husband of 38 years, Jewell Poindexter of Bodcaw; two sons, Jewell Poindexter Jr. and Missy and John Michael Poindexter, all of Bodcaw; one brother, James Henley of Magnolia; one sister, Cherry Hackett of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Racie, Payton, Hayden and Carter Poindexter. The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, at Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw, with Revs. Ed Phillips and Roger Arnold officiating. The burial was in Bodcaw #1 Cemetery in Bodcaw.
