James J.B. CallicottPublished Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. James B. J.B. Callicott, 83, of Prescott, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on May 25, 1924 in Nevada County, to Milton and Ethel Lee Callicott Blankenship. He worked as an auto mechanic. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Prescott; a Mason and a World War II Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Helen Dickerson Callicott of Prescott; one son, James Larry Callicott and Sherry of El Dorado; one daughter, Teri Hughes and Mike of Prescott; one sister, Doris Needham of Prescott; five grandchildren, James Bryan Callicott and Angel, Traci Hughes, Brandon Callicott and Melanie, Chad Hughes and Jesna and Deana Hughes; and two great-grandchildren, Casey and Emily Callicott. The funeral service was Sunday, May 18, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott, with Rev. Jerry Hightower officiating. The burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Saturday, May 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
