James "Beachie" Henry

James Beachie Henry, 88, of Gurdon, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born April 28, 1920, in Prescott, the son of Arthur and Beacher Baker Henry.

He was a retired employee of Reader Railroad and a veteran. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Vester Henry; and one sister, Ethel Roberson.

He is survived by one sister, Luella Foreman of Charleston, S.C.; his nieces, Helen Brewington, Loretta Foreman, Jacqueline Foreman, Barbara Dixon and Wilma Paden; and his nephews, Richard Foreman and Christopher Foreman.

Services were held Saturday, May 17. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery in Bluff City, by Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
