Sybil P. HarrisPublished Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesSybil P. Harris, age 82 of Gurdon, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 14, 2008. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon, a, homemaker, a member of the Red Springs Extension Homemakers, the Eastern Star and was on the council for the Gurdon senior adult center. Survivors include her daughter, Dianna Bloomfield and husband Larry of Arkadelphia; and two grandsons, John William Bloomfield and James Ray Bloomfield; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine Woodall Schee Sr; husband J.W. Harris; three brothers, James, John and Glen Ray; and a sister, Lillian. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the First Baptist Church of Gurdon with Bro. Jerry Evans and Bro. Charles Leslie officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
